Similar but not same

Continuing last post, in this post I still talking about name, precisely about naming tradition in the world. Every country has their own style in the naming traditions. Although there are many countries have similar naming traditions, each country still has the characteristic. For example Japan and Korea, both of them use a family name in their first name, but Korea has other characteristic. Let’s see ! :)
Usually when people get married, the wives’ name will following their husbands’ name or they called by their husband’s name. However, in Korea, the wives use their own name and also they called by their own names. For example Kim Ji Hyo ( female) married with Seo Ji Young (male), Kim Ji Hyo still called Mrs. Kim not Mrs. Seo. In addition, when they have children, his or her name will following their father’s family name. For example Seo Beom Rae, Seo is his father’s family name and Beom Rae is his given name.
In Indonesia, the wives’ also often called by their husband’s name or their children’s name. For example is my grandmother, her name is Suyatmi, but around her residence many people better know her with Mrs. Mardjono because my grandfather’s name is Mardjono, and only a few of them know the real name of my grandmother. In addition, when you’re have a kid, you will called by your children’s name especially in yourchildren’s school.
When you are getting married later it’s possible if you’re also called by your husband’s name or your kid’s name. are you ready for it guys ? hehe :)

Name : Hope and Memory

As we know, everyone in this world definitely has a name. There is a meaning behind his or her name, whether  it’s to remember something or as a hope for his or her life later. So do my parents, they gave me a name Texmanita Nurul Fathiyah. It’s  a little unique, isn’t ? Probably the words “Nurul” and  “Fathiyah”it’s been widely used as a name in Indonesia, but probably you rarely or even never see the word “Texmanita” used as a name. Actually, my name is inspired by one of factory in Karawang, PT.Texmaco. It because a few years ago my father worked there, and because I’m a girl, so I was named Texmanita . While Nurul means light and Fathiyah means the opening, it means that I’m the first child in my family and also my parents hope I can be a source of blessing for them. Aamiin.
Talking about name, if I have child later, I will give a name Azzam Hanif Raffasya for my son which means person who has determination and obedient to religion so he can get the highest place in the world and also in heaven later. While, I will give a name Shasmira Aqila Azkadina for my daughter which means a woman who smart and obedient to religion.
Besides that, I also have some favourite English name such as Jack, James, and Brian for male and Natasha, Alicia, and Jennifer for female. These names often used in movies.
It’s all my story about name. I really like my name and I don’t want to change it. How about you ? Do you also like your name like me ? I hope so.
